So this is the latest issue of Australian Vogue. No branding. No explanation. Are you intrigued?
We are. A mistake? A one-off trend? There was no explanation within the title why its was without cover branding. All it featured was black copy, a pale blue background and a picture of Victoria Beckham.
A call into Vogue met with confusion. One might say dismay. Was this a deliberate ploy? Was brand Beckham brand enough to grace the cover without the need for a masthead?
No, came the answer. It must be a four-leaf clover. NewsLifeMedia said there was "no way" they would drop Vogue's iconic masthead.
So we checked on Twitter. Mornings on Nine had a shot of the cover in its feed. Everything looked normal. So then we checked the local news agent. No dice. Not due to land until next week.
NewsLife wants its copy back. We think we'll hold onto it.
