More than 57,000 pre-loved items have been sold through Vinnies NSW’s online platform, Vinnies Finds, since its inception a year ago.
The state retail arm of the St Vincent de Paul Society celebrated the milestone with an intimate event at its warehouse in Sydney’s Inner West this week, with organisers confirming that Vinnies Finds has generated more than $1.4 million in sales, processed over 18,000 orders and sold more than 57,000 pre-loved items since May 2025.
The charity op-shop launched the online platform last year amid the growing surge in online shopping. The platform lists a range of curated goods – most of which are one-offs – including fashion items and a range of lifestyle goods.
More than 17,000 items are currently listed on the website across 150 unique brands, including over 2,000 brand-new-with-tags pieces. This includes designer pieces from both local and overseas brands.
Vinnies NSW also reported that more than 75 tonnes of textiles were diverted from landfill in the first 12 months of Vinnies Finds – the equivalent weight of an Airbus 220-300 at take-off.
The platform adds to Vinnies’ plan to help fund services and programs supporting people experiencing poverty and hardship.
Vinnies NSW CEO Yolanda Saiz said the success of the platform reflects a growing shift towards conscious consumerism.
“Vinnies Finds brings together quality pre-loved fashion, including designer and everyday pieces, and allows customers to shop them online with ease and convenience,” Saiz said.
“Designed to extend the life of donated goods and reduce textile waste, the platform has successfully generated vital funds that directly support Vinnies NSW programs assisting people experiencing disadvantage and hardship.”
To mark the first anniversary, Vinnies hosted an intimate event inside its Stanmore warehouse featuring a fashion runway showcase highlighting standout Vinnies Finds items as well as a panel discussion.
