Designer label Viktoria & Woods is set to open multiple retail spaces in Sydney, Melbourne and Adelaide amid a national expansion plan.

The brand is set to unveil a new flagship store in Sydney CBD’s Strand Arcade, as well as a refreshed boutique at David Jones in Bondi Junction. The brand is also set to open a new boutique in Westfield Doncaster in Melbourne.

The new Melbourne store will feature a double-height ceiling, sculptural planning and furnishings, with the new Sydney flagship set to match the heritage style of the Strand Arcade with modern ideals.

Viktoria & Woods manages around 16 stores across Australia, and is featured in 10 David Jones department stores. The brand also has an international presence, featured in Superette in New Zealand, and in Harrods and Selfridges in the United Kingdom.

“This next chapter of growth is incredibly energising,” founder and creative director Margie Woods said. “As we expand our retail footprint, each new boutique allows us to connect with our community in a more meaningful, tangible way – bringing the full expression of our brand to life across the country.”

Each new boutique features work by local artisans and designers. This includes vintage furniture, as well as ceramic sculptures by Kerryn Levy, artworks by Skye Jamison and Kathryn Dolby, alongside vases by Hattie Molloy. The stores will also include decorative lighting by Volker Haug, a custom cantilever point-of-sale by Zak Frenkel, and furnishings by Hali, and Henry Wilson.

Looking ahead, Viktoria & Woods is set to open a new store in Adelaide at Burnside Village, to match its current Rundle Street Mall boutique. According to the label, the new space will build on its Rundle Street concept. Designed by long-time collaborator Annabel Kerr, the space will also spotlight the work of Australian creatives.
