The Victorian Government has confirmed an additional four years of funding for the Virgin Melbourne Fashion Festival.
The state government has supported the event since its inception in 1996, with 2018 marking its 22nd season.
Minister for tourism and major events John Eren confirmed the event will have government support as it kicks off on March 1 - 18, 2018.
"The Melbourne Fashion Festival is a shot in the arm for our economy – bringing visitors to Victoria from right across the globe, creating jobs and supporting businesses. "
The Festival program will be revealed on December 2017, focusing on three pillars of Fashion, Arts and Ideas.
