Designer streetwear brand Vanishing Elephant debuted a sellout women's collection in September - now, it has launched another venture to capitalise on the success.

The brand has developed an unplanned high summer capsule collection, comprising 20 pieces of clothing and accessories.

The range is available exclusively at www.vanishingelephant.com and the brand's QV Melbourne store.

The offering includes a mix of styles that have been brought forward from the next season, reworked pieces from the first collection and an injection of footwear including a multi-coloured floral lace up.

There are light silk shirts with peter pan collars, linen shorts and high waisted pants, liberty prints and dark chambray, with a patent lace ups and a leather sandal.

Fabrics are light with there is a focus on florals, washed back linens and Japanese cottons.

Vanishing Elephant co-founder Felix Chan confirmed prices range from $60 to $150 for fashion and $170 to $220 for footwear.

"There's an amazing printed watercolour patent leather which we've used for a girls derby, probably our favourite piece from the capsule."

The entire capsule range is produced in China, with significantly smaller runs limited to either 50 or 100 units.

"This range was really produced to fill demand for the womenswear that we didn't originally anticipate, so fingers crossed we'll keep on rolling out these types of capsules," Chan said.

Vanishing Elephant is a Sydney based men’s and women’s clothing brand started in 2008 by Arran Russell, Huw Bennett and Felix Chan.

Major stockists include General Pants and Incu, with the brand opening its flagship store in late 2011 and exporting to North America, UK and Europe, Japan, Asia and New Zealand.
