Stalwart New Zealand retail company Hallenstein Glasson has advised its CEO will depart its ranks this week.
Stephen Timms, who has been the company's CEO since January 2010, has resigned from his position effective February 25, 2011. Hallenstein Glasson advised Timms wishes to return to Australia citing “family reasons”.
Chairman of directors, Warren Bell, said Timms was departing Hallenstein Glasson with the best wishes of the company.
Hallenstein Glasson operates over 110 retail stores, including 25 stores in Australia. The fashion retailer is headquartered in Auckland and its brand names include menswear retailer Hallensteins, fast fashion brand Glassons, and the mid-market brand Storm.
Prior to his role with Hallenstein Glasson, Timms was COO of Ascendia Retail in Australia.
UPDATE: Hallenstein Glasson has advised Graeme Popplewell has been appointed CEO effective immediately. Popplewell has been finance director of Hallenstein Glasson since 1985 and managing director since June 2010.
