Japanese retailer Uniqlo has officially signed on as the title sponsor for this year's Australian Masters to become the 2015 Uniqlo Masters.

It is the first time that the brand has committed to an event sponsorship in Australia.

The announcement follows its support of Uniqlo global brand ambassador and Australian golfer Adam Scott since 2013.

Uniqlo Australia CEO Shoichi Miyaska said that the 2015 Uniqlo Masters will further strengthen the brand's relationship with the local market.

“Since signing Adam Scott as a Global Brand Ambassador in 2013, we’ve supported him in a number of incredible, history making golfing triumphs, so when the opportunity came up to partner with such a fantastic Australian sporting event, we enthusiastically agreed.

“The Uniqlo Masters felt like a really natural fit for us and a great next step in supporting the wider Australian golfing community.

“We’re very excited to be partnering with IMG and the Victorian State Government on the 2015 Uniqlo Masters in our first formal event sponsorship in Australia.”

The Uniqlo Masters will be sanctioned by the PGA Tour of Australasia and broadcast on the Seven Network for five hours across the four day tournament.

The event will run from November 19-22.
