International fast fashion retailer Uniqlo has announced the next stage of its Australian expansion for 2018, the launch of its first WA store.

Located in Perth's Plaza Arcade, the new store will cover 1290 sqm and provide more than 130 jobs for the local region.

The new store marks the retailer's fifteenth location in Australia and is set to offer the complete Lifewear range across men, women, kids and baby.

Uniqlo Australia COO Kenji Tsuji said the brand would continue to expand steadily in 2018, based on finding the most suitable locations.

"We've been growing our Australian operations steadily since opening in Melbourne in 2014.

"We believe in three essential elements of customer satisfaction: products, personnel and stores, and to showcase the Uniqlo brand in Australia, it's important we pursue excellence in all three areas.

"Perth is our fifteenth store in Australia. We are extremely proud to expand our bricks-and-mortar offering through such a wonderful store and to serving customers in Western Australia."

An exact launch date has yet to be confirmed with the brand expecting the store to open in Autumn/Winter 2018.
