Japanese apparel retailer Uniqlo will open its seventh Queensland store at Sunshine Plaza this spring.

The new store will occupy a sales floor of nearly 777 square metres on level one of the shopping centre. Sunshine Plaza is located 80 kilometres north of Brisbane CBD, and houses over 300 stores, with over 90 in the fashion space.

Uniqlo Australia COO Satoshi Naito said the opening reflected sustained customer support in the state.

"Thanks to the amazing support from our beloved customers in Queensland, we are pleased to announce our new store opening this spring at Sunshine Plaza," Naito said.

"We are very grateful for the loyal support of Queensland customers since first opening here in 2016. Now, our team looks forward to bringing Uniqlo LifeWear, known for its beautiful design and high quality, to even more customers through the new Sunshine Plaza store."

The single-storey store will stock Uniqlo's LifeWear range for men, women, kids and babies. It adds to around 40 Uniqlo stores across Australia.

Uniqlo is a brand of Fast Retailing Co., Ltd, which reported global sales of approximately 3.4 trillion yen (~A$30 billion) for the 2025 fiscal year ending August 31, 2025. Fast Retailing operates more than 3,500 stores worldwide across its eight brands, with Uniqlo accounting for over 2,500 of those locations.
