Japanese retailer Uniqlo will open its 20th Australian store in Northland Shopping Centre on July 4. 

The 888sqm store will open doors to consumers at 10am after an official ribbon cutting ceremony and Japanese drumming celebration.

Complimentary cupcakes from Cupcake Queen will be on offer to shoppers, while the first 500 customers who spend over $100 will receive a free gift bag. 

Uniqlo Australia chief operating officer Kensuke Suwa said that the new Northland store demonstrates Uniqlo's committment to expanding in the Australian market. 

"The opening of our twentieth site in Australia is a significant milestone that demonstrates our commitment to finding the right locations to extend our LifeWear message to all Australians.

"Our offering of high quality products at an affordable price, paired with exemplary customer service is resonating with Australians and we look forward to continuing our growth in 2019 and beyond," he said.

The store will stock collections of LifeWear apparel for men, women, kids and babies. The Northland store is Uniqlo's eigth Victorian store.
