One of Australia’s leading providers of school uniforms – Uniform Group – has expanded its store in Geelong, southwest of Melbourne CBD.
The upgraded Grovedale site combines three shops into one 925 square metre location, featuring eight fitting rooms – double that of a typical Uniform Group store. It matches the brand’s new retail concept, already rolled out in Craigieburn, Mornington and Croydon.
The design also supports a shop-in-shop model to showcase multiple schools across a region in one location.
The Grovedale store will serve as the official retail hub for Biyala Primary School, one of Victoria’s 19 new government schools being built for 2026, with a student capacity of 650.
Uniform Group, through PSW and Academy Uniforms, has successfully partnered with over half of the new-build government schools announced for 2026.
Alongside Biyala, Iona College and Geelong High School, in addition to St Joseph’s College Geelong – an EREA school with 1,800 students – will join the Uniform Group family in 2026.
The partnership includes a full uniform redesign across academic, sport, on-field, and staff wardrobes.
"Our upgraded Grovedale store is a major milestone for school uniform shopping in the Geelong region,” Uniform Group CEO Adam Wilkinson said.
“By combining three shops into one modern and spacious site, we’re able to provide families with a seamless, convenient, and enjoyable shopping experience. We’re particularly excited to welcome both our existing schools and new schools, like Biyala Primary, supporting these school communities with high-quality, fit-for-purpose uniforms."
Uniform Group operates around 27 locations across Australia. The store revamp also comes after Australian fashion designer Peter Morrissey was named an ambassador for Uniform Group. His first project as ambassador was leading the design of Salesian College’s new uniforms.
