Australian-born underwear brand Cool Beans has taken home the Small Business Innovation Award at the Australia Post Online Retail Industry Awards (ORIAS).
The award forms part of the 2025 Impact Awards and is targeted at small businesses that have innovated to deliver a new product or service, an outstanding customer experience or a business process.
According to a release by Australia Post, Cool Beans Underwear is a scientifically designed innovation that helps regulate testicular temperature – a key factor in fertility, hormonal health and recovery.
The brand was founded by Saara and Jordan Jamieson. Saara is a medical researcher with expertise in anatomy, physiology and reproduction, while Jordan is a medical imaging professional.
After developing a prototype of underwear to regulate testicular temperature, they were able to conceive their son four months later and a daughter after that.
The ORIAS also awarded cleaning product brand Koh with the Sustainability Award, with ethical gifting brand Mettle Women Inc. picking up the Diversity & Inclusion Award.
“It's a privilege to be part of the ORIAS each year and celebrate the changemakers shaping the future of eCommerce in Australia,” Australia Post executive GM of parcel, post and ecommerce services, Gary Starr, said. “With 122 online retailers entering our Impact award categories this year, it's clear that purpose-led innovation is thriving across the industry.”
