Jigsaw has closed its Australian stores effective immediately.
In a statement on its website, the company said it would focus on its UK operations.
“After many wonderful years, Jigsaw London will be closing its doors.
“Due to exceptional circumstances the business has made the difficult decision to close its Australian division to simplify its business and focus on its home market in the UK.”
In 2016, Jigsaw acquired its Australian license back from Webster Holdings which operated the local business for 25 years.
Under the move, Jigsaw Australia joined a global strategy which would see one collection delivered to 11 countries.
While previous collections for the market had been manufactured in China, the ranges started to apply a direct sourcing model.
This meant they were sourced from Jigsaw supplier factories across the UK and Europe, and pieces designed in-house at the London studio.
The UK group reportedly turned over $188 million for the 2017/2018 period.
