Topshop, Zara, Just Jeans and Gorman are among brands featured in a shame list by Oxfam Australia.

The charity group has released a 'naughty and nice' register ahead of the Christmas season.

The public campaign is aimed at pressuring brands to be more transparent about their supply chains.

"Unless a company publishes the locations of its factories, there is still no way of checking if their clothing is being made under safe and fair conditions," the campaign notes.

"And, workers can’t easily raise problems and get them fixed. There’s no other way out of the Naughty List."

The Just Group, which includes brands such as Just Jeans and Peter Alexander, tops the list.

Oxfam Australia claimed the Group opted out of the Bangladesh Fire & Building Safety Accord in favour of a "weaker" Alliance on Worker Safety.

It also criticised the retailer for not publishing its factory list on its website.

Jeanswest, Cotton On, Katies, Rivers and Kmart were among retailers praised for their supply chain transparency.
