Ahead of the eagerly anticipated Melbourne Topshop opening Ragtrader has been given an exclusive sneak peak at the launch collection.
Chunky platforms, velvet jackets, multicoloured sequin shorts and metallic cuffs are just a few of the key items that will hit shelves for the December 8 launch. New product will be flown into the country twice a week and every day there will be something new and exciting on the shop floor, according to Topshop bosses.
It is the first opening of the renowned UK high street store in Australia and collections will include Boutique, Tall, Petite and AAA. The Unique range will also follow.
Customers will soon be able to get their hands on a wide range of clothing, bags, footwear, make-up and jewellery and there is also a menswear section, Topman.
The CEO of Topshop and Topman Australia, Hilton Seskin, said the arrival of the brands will 'reinvigorate' the Australian fashion scene by continually offering new product and new designs into the market on a regular basis.
“In addition to offering creative fashion at affordable prices, Topshop and Topman will also provide a superior in-store shopping experience which is enhanced by specialised services like personal shopping,” Seskin said. “The Australian consumer is a little bored with what they can access here in Australia and this will stimulate the shopper to get out and enjoy spending on fashion again.”
Topshop, which is part of the Arcadia Group, will also open a four-storey, 1,800sqm store on the corner of George Street and Market Street in Sydney next year. This will include a Topman and the launch is forecast for August.
