The most popular fashion items sold during Amazon Australia's Prime Day were the Bonds Crew Socks, followed closely by the unisex Fossil watch, canvas Tommy Hilfiger bags and Tommy Hilfiger men's t-shirts, Amazon has revealed.
Further data from Hitwise indicates that internal searches on Amazon Australia for 'Tommy Hilfiger' increased by 400 places during Prime Day thanks to 50%+ discounts on selected items.
The leading fashion brands throughout the sale also included Skechers, Puma, Casio and Wild Rhino.
The 2019 edition of Amazon Australia's Prime Day also saw total transactions during the sale up by 50.4% year over year (YoY) according to Hitwise.
During the sale Hitwise also recorded 2.7 million visits to the site, up 72.4% YoY, while dailly visitors were also up by 62.3% to over 330,000.
The Australian Prime membership also received 12,600 daily sign-ups during the sale.
Overall Hitwise data suggests that gaming and electronics are the most popular items Australians like to nab during a sale, with the searches 'Nintendo Switch', 'Switch' and 'Headphones' taking out the top three spots on the site during the sale.
