Australian swimwear label Tigerlily has developed a new swimwear line that is made from 100% regenerated material.
The brand is the first in Australia to design swimwear using the Polyamide fibre by Econyl, which is made from post-consumer nylon waste.
The decision to use the eco-friendly fibre comes about as the brand makes an educated change towards better practices and conditions in the fashion industry.
Econyl have created the yarn from materials such as old fishing nets that previously littered oceans.
The new fibre has been developed with the intention of halving co2 emissions compared to standard Nylon that use oil in their creation.
This season, the Tigerlily Sittana scoop bra and Paranga pant are made with the Econyl Polyamide fibre and are 100% regenerated.
