Australian streetwear brand Thrills has teamed up with workwear brand Hard Yakka to launch a new standalone brand called Hard Yakka Create.

The brand’s first range will include 32 apparel items and 6 accessories. This includes shirts, shorts, pants, t-shirts and coveralls.

Building on past collaborations that span two years, Thrills designer Steve Fontes called this new partnership a defining moment in Australian fashion history.

"Hard Yakka's legacy in crafting high-quality workwear has paved the way for Hard Yakka Create,” Fontes said. “We've infused our commitment to excellence into fashion essentials that honour legacy, innovation, and streetwear, all with an unmistakable Australiana twist."

The Hard Yakka Create will launch online with a dedicated website, and through select retail stores from May 9, 2024.

The standalone brand goes live with the tagline “We Dig It”.

Thrills is a subsidiary of Universal Store, after the group acquired it in late 2022 for $50 million. As of December 2023, Thrills holds 10 owned stores across Australia.

Meanwhile, Hard Yakka is the subsidiary of Workwear Group, under Wesfarmers. The brand hosts its own dedicated website, and is sold through over 400 stockists across Australia.
