Australian fashion retailer General Pants revealed it raised $150,000 for Lighthouse Foundation ,as part of its national ‘Just Be Nice’ Christmas campaign.

The retailer invited customers to donate $1 to Lighthouse Foundation with any purchase in-store and online. General Pants then pledged to add an additional $2 for every $1 customers gave.

The money raised went toward helping homeless youth from backgrounds of long term neglect and abuse.

Customers all over Australia pledged a total of close to $50,000 in donations. Along with the retailer’s contribution, the grand total of $150,000 was donated to Lighthouse Foundation.

Lighthouse foundation founder Susan Barton praised the retailer, along with its customers for the level of generosity both showed throughout the campaign.

“We are deeply grateful to the General Pants Co. team around Australia for supporting Lighthouse's work to end youth homelessness.

"Thanks to General Pants Co. and their customers, we can change the direction of the lives of young people who have suffered trauma, violence and abuse and give them hope for the future."
