Independent retailer Oz Resort swimwear has relocated its business after 30 years citing "jealous landlords" as the reason.
Oz Resort MD Jacqueline Major said the key reason behind the move, from the long-held Mosman, NSW store, was due to being forced to pay "horrendous rents" of over $3,000 per week.
Major has since relocated her store to Sydney's northern beaches, moving into a location on Roseberry Street, Balgowlah.
The store will close in the next month but re-open next season and will continue to stock brands such as Jets Swimwear, Tigerlily, Baku, Seafolly and Speedo.
Major has been styling swimwear since opening her first retail operation in 1988.
She saw global recognition when she floated Ozi Varmints Store, a sun protection swimwear company for kids, on the ASX with Olivia Newton-John and Brian Rochford.
