McGrathNicol, the receivers of Topshop New Zealand, has announced the brand will cease operations after a buyer could not be found.
Both the Wellington and Auckland stores will be forced to close by Sunday, October 1.
Top Retail, the operators of Topshop New Zealand, entered receivership in early September.
Conor McElhinney and Kare Johnstone of McGrathNicol said the business was unable to be salvaged following a sales process for the business and its assets, in whole or in part.
“It is with regret that we have had to inform staff today that the business is unable to continue trading and that Topshop and Topman will no longer have a presence in New Zealand from Sunday.
"We would like to thank the directors of Top Retail for their support, which has enabled gift cards to be redeemed during the receivership trading period, and staff for their commitment since our appointment”.
A closing down sale campaign will commence shortly for both stores in Auckland and Wellington, which will be closed after October 1. The stores may close earlier if they run out of stock.
Topshop Australia was successfully restructured by administrators from Ferrier Hodgson in August.
This was achieved by the completion of a sale of certain assets to Topshop / Topman (Australia) Limited, an entity controlled by the Arcadia Group, a British multinational fashion retailer.
