Camilla and Marc has opened a new boutique in the Victorian suburb of Armadale.
Located on the popular High St, the store features three distinct spaces designed to evoke the mood of a private residence.
Speaking on the store, Camilla and Marc CEO Marc Freeman said that the business wanted to make use of the lockdown time in Melbourne.
"We wanted to use the lockdown period in Melbourne to support local artisans and businesses and create a thoughtful space that our customers could return to once restrictions eased.
"Armadale is an incredibly cultured, community-driven neighbourhood, so with this new space we wanted to create an intimate experience that could transport the local community into a place dedicated to slowing down and appreciating the beauty in life," he said.
The label worked with long-time collaborator Kelvin Ho to create the boutique, which joins the brand's stores in James Street, Bondi, Claremont, Mosman, Melbourne Emporium, Five Ways Paddington, Rosebery, and The Strand Arcade.
Ho added that the Armadale store has been in the works since before lockdown.
"As the 'neighbourhood flagship', we designer Camilla and Marc Armadale as an ode to community and a celebration of the human touch.
"We began to develop the design direction for this very special store over a year and a half ago, and during the last eight months, what became really apparent was the need to prioritise meaningful experiences in both an environmental and social context.
"As a result, the store is especially intimate, composed of four scaled-down rooms each with their subtle definitions.
"The boutique is intended to be experienced as a tactile environment shaped by hand-crafted finishes and singular materials that evoke wonder and awe," he said.
