Australian designer label Natalie Chapman has received significant backing from investors to launch a new category of basics titled 'NC Original Edit'.
The capsule collection will aim to feature essential designs offered by the brand's seasonal releases including tops, pants, dresses as well as new designs that will land monthly.
The label has also launched its 'NC Bespoke' and 'NC Accessories' lines as additional product categories.
Founder and designer Natalie Chapman believes the expansion will push the brand into the Australian luxury market.
“In June after spending months of watching and reading about other fashion brands I came up with a business model to present to investors.
“Once I came up with the new model I spent time with my mentors making sure it had the ability to adapt to economic change at any time.
“I love my brand - both the designing and managing the business side, it is what motivates me everyday to push forward.
“I am very confident about where the brand is headed in the next year.
“Already the brand is seeing results, which motivates the team to continue towards the next milestones.”
Chapman has adopted a strong focus on fabric selection to set the brand apart from competitors.
'NC Original Edit' will feature a range of soft crepes, tuxedo stretch fabrics and double crepe as an alternative to wool.
Price points for the collection range from $110-$475.
