One of Australia's leading fashion etailers has joined an innovative partnership in a move to boost brand awareness ahead of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Australia (MBFWA).

Online shopping hub The Iconic recently confirmed it has linked with a Sydney-based print and digital publishing house to launch a national print fashion title for the site.

Big Splash Media will help The Iconic put together an 84-page quarterly magazine, featuring interviews, news, style and fashion tips and apparel and shoes from Australian and international designers featuring on the multi-brand site.

The Iconic magazine, which will debut with an initial print run of 50,000, in time for MBFWA, will be distributed through The Iconic customers and at fashion locations in Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney. The next edition is expected to be available on newsstands.

The team putting the magazine together includes Natasha Silva-Jelly, former fashion editor at Fairfax Media and stylist Kylie Hetherington, who has previously worked with Harper's Bazaar magazine and other fashion glossies. Publisher Peter Lynch, who will oversee the publication, has previously created lifestyle magazines in Sydney, Singapore, Hong Kong and London.

Big Splash Media publishes lifestyle and B2B magazines, newspapers and online websites. It created the launch magazine for Brand Australia, and also operates community newspaper The Strathfield Scene.
