Sportsgirl has announced the launch of its Beauty Give Back campaign, in partnership with a community service program.
The campaign will partner with Look Good, Feel Better, a service which offers cancer patients free beauty workshops.
The workshops teach patients how to manage appearance-related side effects caused by cancer treatment.
The campaign will see Sportsgirl donate skincare and beauty products, as well as install a series of pop-up instore beauty stands from October 30.
The stands will encourage customers to buy and donate for those in need.
Sportgirl national marketing manager Kate Rees said it was an important initiative for the retailer.
"Over 130,000 people in australia undergoing cancer treatment have participated in the look good, feel better program so we want to help provide these workshops with the beauty products they need to facitate them.
"We know our customers will want to help this very worthy cause too so they can donate in our five participating stores by making a sportsgirl beauty donation in one of our charity bins.”
The beauty banks will initially launch in five Sportsgirl stores, including flagships in Sydney and Melbourne, with the goal to roll out the charity initiative into more stores nationally for Christmas.
