Activewear pioneer The Upside has launched a men's line.

The Upside Man will commence dropping into stores from today, with stockists including Matches, The Iconic and Lane Crawford.

The debut men's collection includes 40 pieces priced between $60 and $300.

Brand founder Jodhi Meares recruited designer Matty Bouris to create the first range.

It features functional performance separates as well as recovery outerwear.

The palette ranges from dark blues and greys to khaki and monochromatic prints.

Drop crotch shorts, drop tail hemlines, script logos and neoprene panelled joggers infuse the collection with a fashion edge.

To launch the new season, former NRL player Nick Youngquest has been recruited as the face of the campaign.

Meares, founder of swimwear brand Tigerlily, launched The Upside in 2014.
