XBlades has scored an apparel contract for St George Illawarra Dragons as they prepare for the 2018 NRL season.

XBlades will supply the club’s official playing jerseys, shorts and socks as well as training and off-field leisure apparel in a multi year deal.

The brand is working with the team of players, coaches and other key stakeholders to find effective solutions to improve the performance of the club’s apparel, currently trialling new merino wool fabric technology.

XBlades CEO Leighton Richards said he looks forward to seeing the results of the trial.

“We’re proud to be teaming up with the Dragons’ who align strongly with our brand values of innovating and developing technically enhanced products which can be seen through their willingness to embrace our Merino jersey trial.

"We’ll continue to work together with the Dragons over the next few months to bring major developments across fabrics and design for apparel ready for 2018 and beyond,” Leighton said.

XBlades already has existing partnerships with two star Dragons, Tyson Frizell and Jack de Belin, who hold boot partnerships and joined Team XBlades in 2017.
