It's not Monday morning. It's not Thursday night. It's not even on the weekend. When do Australians shop for fashion online?
New data from virtual shopping portal giant ShopStlye.com.au has revealed 4pm Wednesday as fashion happy hour.
The surprising result was uncovered after ShopStyle.com.au analysed its search data over a 12 month period to pinpoint key trends for the year.
Rest of the world data revealed ShopStyle visitors in the USA, UK, France, Germany and Japan were more likely to shop on Sunday or Monday.
National data also revealed significant differences in city by city searches.
The three most searched for terms in Melbourne were jelly sandals, jelly shoes and bandage dresses.
The top three searches in Sydney were 'Marc Jacobs watches' followed by Marc Jacobs and 'Micahel Kors watches and jewellery'.
The most searched for term in Brisbane was 'size 16 dresses', then beach dresses and Diane Von Furstenberg.
Meanwhile 'crop top' took poll position in Adelaide, followed by lace dress and Mimco bag.
Flatform shoes, Christian Louboutin and high waisted pants reigned in Perth; while Hobart wrapped up findings with Armani underwear, 'black bubble dress' and 'leather peplum belt'.
ShopStyle.com.au data analysing the time people are shopping online was collated over 12 months from 1st August 2011 – 1st August 2012.
