Outdoor brand The North Face is continuing to expand its retail presence across Australia, opening four new locations in the lead-up to Christmas 2025.
The North Face was one of a few dozen retailers opening spaces at Chatswood Chase in late October. That store covers 262 square metres, which is more than double the size of its previous Westfield location.
The single-level space features an articulated shopfront with natural plants and a digital activation space. It will stock a broad assortment across performance and lifestyle categories.
This was quickly followed by a new outlet store in Homebush, which opened on November 1 over the weekend. At 282 square metres, this will be the largest The North Face outlet store across Australia and New Zealand, offering a significantly expanded product range.
The Homebush store takes design cues from the brand’s flagship locations, including digital display spaces and a purpose-built ‘Summit Series’ display.
Over the weekend, the first 50 customers each day were given a branded enamel mug, and all visitors will be given an extra 10 per cent off already reduced styles in the first week. The opening will be marked with rolling DJs.
Then, in December, The North Face will more than double the size of its Chadstone store to 305 square metres, and will opened a new 430 square metre store at the Emporium Melbourne.
The Emporium store will represent the single largest retail footprint for The North Face in Australia and New Zealand – nearly 50 per cent larger than the next biggest store in the region.
“We’re proud to continue our investment in retail growth across Australia, creating spaces that inspire exploration and connect customers with our brand in a meaningful way,” The North Face AU/NZ general manager Paul Karis said.
“These new stores are a major step in elevating the experience for our consumers — whether they’re discovering the outdoors for the first time or gearing up for their next expedition.”
