Womenswear label Acler has scored a major win for its debut spring/summer 2015 range.

It has already been picked up by department store Myer.

Co-designers Kathryn Forth and Julia Ritorto said each piece for the range was developed over a 12 month redraping process.

The collection features a modern Japanese influence with contemporary kimonos and layered, oversized shirting with angular tucks.

In the style of origami, strips of fabric wrap around bodices, and fold over necklines, or are raw cut and hang from a waistline.

Italian embossing, textured Korean acetate blends and soft washed silks painted with Japanese sumi-e brush strokes offset the understated colour palette.

Crisp white tailoring, a palazzo pant and softer draped shapes complete the inaugural offer.

Price points start at $150 up to $495.

The Acler debut collection will be available from July 2015 in select stockists across Australia and the USA.
