Australia's largest fashion etailer theiconic.com.au reveals what its buyers have invested in for AW13. Here, women's apparel and shoes head Lisa Hall reveals key trends, price points and consumer buying patterns.

At The Iconic for Winter 2013 in womenswear, we have bought into several key styles for the season ranging from leather bomber jackets, coated denim jeans and new takes on the classic army jacket for a casual winter look right through to brocade pants, floral dresses and embellished tops for a night time vibe.

Key looks include the C&M Dominic Bomber Jacket $299; Lee Riders Mid Rise Coated Vegas Jean $99.95; C&M Hope Dress $279.

A key trend for AW13 is baroque, which sees an emphasis on textured fabrics such as brocades and jacquards. This trend can be seen in price pointed brands such as Ladakh and Cooper Street through to Australian designer brands such as Sass and Bide and Camilla and Marc.

A key look is the Ladakh Opulence Brocade dress $99.95.

Another key story for AW13 are winter florals. The girl on a budget can buy into this trend through brands such as Finders Keepers and O’Neill. At a higher price point we have Tapestry print dresses from Nicholas and printed jeans from J-Brand.

A key look is the Nicholas Tapestry Print Skater Dress $370.

The price conscious girl can buy into key trends and silhouettes for AW13 with brands such as Ladakh, Cooper St and Wish. For the customer who wants to make a more sizeable fashion investment we have brands such as Nicholas, Camilla & Marc and Sass & Bide.
