Australian etailer The Iconic has revealed it's key sales and product expansion statistics in the 'Year in Fashion' 2017 data report.

The site featured 150 new brands on the site in 2017, which equated to more than 25,000 new products.

Nike was the most searched word in 2017, with 'slides' being the most searched for item.

The top 5 brands were:

  • Staple Superior
  • Nike
  • Burton
  • Academy Brand
  • H-WOOD

Most amount of items ordered in one purchase was 84 products.

Further insights revealed in the data report included:

  • 45,678 Adidas Original Stan Smith shoes were sold on the site this year.
  • One in five customers bought an Adidas Originals item.
  • The top selling jeans were jeggings.
  • 2017 saw the ‘90’s comeback' as Tommy Hilfiger and Ralph Lauren were the top selling tees.
  • Converse remain the top selling sneaker.

The Iconic board director Donna Player outlined the rapid product growth the etailer experienced in 2017.

"2017 has been a huge year for The Iconic and our product assortment has never been stronger with over 800 local and international brands, and 50,000 products available on site.

"Our 'Year in Fashion' data highlights the best of fashion and activewear from the year that was - from key trends and shopping habits to fashion revivals and favourite brands that Australians can't get enough of, as told by The Iconic.

"We've loved every minute of 2017 and can't wait for what's to come in 2018."
