Fashion and lifestyle platform The Iconic has confirmed a flip in its chief operations officer role, as Rostin Javadi exits after fourteen years at its parent company, Global Fashion Group.

Javadi has decided that the time is right for his next professional chapter, The Iconic reported. He will continue supporting the business through the end of December.

The platform has promoted Sue Wood to take on the COO role, effective October 1. Wood joined The Iconic in 2022 and currently serves as the director of fulfilment operations.

Since joining four years ago, Wood has played a key role in updating the business’ fulfilment capability. This includes refining warehouse performance, leading teams through peak seasons and advancing sustainable practices, according to The Iconic.

Prior to The Iconic, she was head of fulfilment at Catch.com.au and has also held senior fulfilment and operations roles at Coles Group, Real Pet Food and Sainsbury UK.

“Sue is a highly experienced and widely respected leader, both within The Iconic and the broader retail industry,” The Iconic CEO Jere Calmes said.

“Her operational expertise, deep understanding of our fulfilment network and commitment to our people make her exceptionally well placed to lead the next chapter of The Iconic’s operations.”

On Javadi, Calmes said he has made an “extraordinary contribution” to both The Iconic and GFG over the past 14 years.

“As COO, his leadership has been instrumental in building and scaling our fulfilment capability, creating a strong and highly agile operational foundation, and positioning The Iconic as a leading platform services partner to support the next phase of our growth,” Calmes said.

During his four years as COO, Javadi led the scaling of the company’s Yennora infrastructure, oversaw the 2024 transition of The Iconic’s Order Management and Warehouse Management Systems, and helped navigate significant shifts in retail demand and delivery innovation.
