Fashion and lifestyle platform The Iconic has secured two upgrades to its delivery proposition for customers across the eastern seaboard of Australia, including an exclusive Saturday delivery service built in partnership with Australia Post. 

The updates follow the platformʼs significant increase in delivery speeds around Australia and New Zealand over the past 12 months. Early last year, The Iconic reduced its free standard delivery time to 1-2 days in metropolitan Melbourne, similar to delivery times in Sydney. 

The new upgrade means Saturday delivery will be included in the platform’s standard and express services for eligible orders for metro Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane and the Gold Coast. 

Until now, Saturday delivery was only available in Sydney via the premium ‘Saturday Evening’ service. This update expands Saturday delivery across key metro markets along the east coast for standard and express, at no additional cost to customers. 

In the upcoming weeks, The Iconic will also introduce an improved express service window for metro Sydney, enabling eligible customers to place orders by 7am on weekdays for same-day delivery (1 business day arrival). The extended cut-off is available for eligible orders and will remain at $4.95 for orders $75 and over, and $11.95 for orders under $75. 

“Over the past year, we significantly improved delivery speed and convenience for our customers across Australia and New Zealand,” The Iconic chief operations officer Rostin Javadi said. “Now with our partners at Australia Post, we are very pleased to announce the addition of Saturday delivery for standard and express services in east coast metro areas and extending the Sydney express ordering window for an enhanced same-day delivery option." 

Australia Post executive GM of parcel, post and e-commerce services, Gary Starr, said shoppers increasingly expect more flexibility and convenience in how and when their parcels are delivered. 

“This exclusive trial with The Iconic allows us to explore how expanded Saturday delivery can better support one of Australiaʼs leading online retailers and, importantly, enhance the experience for their customers.ˮ 

The announcement follows The Iconicʼs recent delivery updates, including the rollout of ‘Twilight Delivery’ to Melbourne and Brisbane, faster New Zealand delivery (from 4 to 5 days to next-day across metro areas) and a 50 per cent improvement in Melbourne standard delivery times.

The Iconic is part of Global Fashion Group – a European-based entity that manages similar platforms in Southeast Asia and Latin America. 

For the third quarter of 2025, The Iconic lifted its gross profit to $70.8 million, with gross margin up 150 basis points to 48.6 per cent compared to the same time last year.

This joins a 4.9 per cent lift in net merchandise value (NMV) for the platform, hitting $214.9 million. NMV is the net value of the total value of goods sold by a company.
