The Iconic has furthered its partnership with RMIT Online, now being included in the university's short eCommerce Strategy and Experience course. 

The eTailer is already on board for RMIT's course on Brand Experience, but will join brands such as Officeworks, Koala Furniture and R/GA for the eCommerce-focused course. 

Launched in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, which has accelerated the demand for eCommerce in Australia by 91% – according to Australia Post – the course will explore the eCommerce value chain, drawing on the best practices from some of Australia's largest eCommerce businesses.

RMIT Online’s CEO Helen Souness said that the course provides the opportunity to learn about growing trends in retail. 

"The global pandemic has spotlighted both the importance and the potential of online retail, and many businesses are fast-tracking their omni-channel offering to meet customer demand.

"While the pandemic has accelerated the rate at which eCommerce has grown, online has always been an inevitable part of the future of retail.

"The launch of the new eCommerce course is a great way for retailers to stay one step ahead, preparing them for success in a new retail landscape," she said. 

The course will cost $1200 and will run for six weeks, commencing in October.
