The Iconic and David Jones are among retailers expanding their reach into the $3 billion Australian childrenswear market.*
The retailers have supported Danish childrenswear label Lil’ Atelier's local launch, alongside other retailers including Nordic Fusion and Elves In The Wardrobe.
Founded in Denmark and rooted in Scandinavian aesthetic, Lil' Atelier offers children’s fashion made from considered fabrics including organic cotton, wool, linen and cashmere.
Lil' Atelier’s sustainable manufacturing processes includes working with raw, recycled and innovative materials, specifically cotton that is organically-grown without the use of pesticides and synthetic fertilisers.
The brand's focus on eco-friendly processes extends to its water usage, working with natural colours that are dyestuffs derived from natural materials.
Meanwhile, the brand also reuses its own cotton fabric scraps to limit waste, while all care labels and polybags are made from recycled polyester and all hang/information tags are made from FSC certified paper.
Speaking on its latest range, Lil Atelier said that the collection reflects the natural world.
"Inspired by nature, our autumn winter 2021 collection features structured fabrics and styles with all prints drawn by hand.
"The range is set amongst harmonious colours including pastels, natural linen, denim, taupe, ginger, turtledove and rich earth tones," the business said.
The collection includes cropped pants, leggings, skirts, dresses, top, sweatshirts and knits for girls, and tracksuits, chinos, denim shirts and jeans, knits and jackets for boys.
Both ranges are available for children aged 1-7 years old.
Alongside local stockists, Lil Atelier is available on its Australian website.
