The Iconic has appointed Joanna Robinson as its interim chief marketing officer.

The appointment follows the departure of chief customer officer Dean Chadwick, who will commence with MYOB in June. The Iconic CEO Erica Berchtold will also depart the business this year to join Best & Less in September.

In a statement, a spokesperson at The Iconic confirmed the hunt for a permanent CMO is still in progress. Robinson will oversee the marketing department in the interim period.

"Jo is an incredible brand and marketing leader and brings over 25 years of valuable knowledge and experience to The Iconic," The Iconic said.

Robinson is currently a sessional lecturer in masters level marketing at the University of Sydney, focusing on consumer behaviour and marketing principles. Robinson is also the former-CMO of Chatime Australia, and has held marketing positions at L’Occitane, Tyrrell’s Wines, and Estée Lauder.

In a LinkedIn post, Robinson said the appointment is a major milestone in her career.

“As a lover of all things fashion, and having been an obsessive, loyal customer of the platform over the last 11 years, I am excited to join this exceptional leadership team to help drive the business to the next level,” Robinson said. “Thank you to my new team and colleagues for making me feel so welcome.”
