The votes are in. Who is the best fashion retailer to work for in Australia?
Lovisa, TS14+ and Ziera have taken out the 2014 Retail Employer of the Year Awards, proving fashion is a leader in the field.
The awards are an initiative of Retailworld Resourcing and are voted by the public.
Retailworld CEO John Caldwell said the program had record voting numbers this year.
"It’s fantastic to see an ever growing number of voters recognising the diverse range of initiatives retailers are putting in place to attract and retain top talent.
"It’s a testament to retailers getting it right – investing in elements of employment branding that the public are passionate about and creating awareness around it."
The winners for 2014 are:
Taking out the large category for brands with in excess of 1000 full time equivalents (FTE) is Lovisa.
One voter had this to say about the brand: “Lovisa is a dynamic, exciting company to work for. The culture supports team growth and development. The focus on continuous improvement, ‘can do’ attitudes and striving for excellence is infectious”.
Having previously won the title in 2012 TS14+ returns to the top spot for the highly contended medium category (101- 1000 FTE).
TS14+ was described as “The most supportive, unique and forward thinking company that anyone could wish to work for” while another voter had this to say “Awesome company. Awesome product. Awesome customers. I love my job!”.
Winning the small category (<100 FTE) for the second consecutive year is Ziera.
The brand retained the title for retailers with less than 100 FTE - a feat that has only been achieved once before in the Australian arm of the competition. A common theme for voters was the way the retailer “Values and encourages team members” and for being “Family orientated with a supportive culture”.
