Myer’s executive team has had another shuffle this year, with Teresa Rendo resigning from her managing director role at the Apparel Brands alongside the appointment of a new chief customer officer (CCO).

In a statement, Myer executive chair Olivia Wirth confirmed that Rendo has stepped down as managing director from the department store’s newly acquired five apparel brands – Just Jeans, Jay Jays, Jacqui E, Dotti and Portmans. She will be leaving the Myer Group in 2026.

Rendo joined Apparel Brands in 2022 and over the last three and a half years has guided the team through significant change, including the sale of the five Just Group brands to Myer from Solomon Lew’s Premier Investments, building the Just Jeans ‘store of the future’ concept and supporting the launch of the Myer One loyalty program across the Apparel Brands business.

Wirth added that a search is underway to appoint a new leader of its Apparel Brands business.

Rendo’s exit comes as Myer takes on Amanda McVay, who will be the new CCO in a few weeks’ time. McVay will take over the role from Geoff Ikin, who announced his exit earlier this year.

McVay steps over to Myer following a two-and-a-half-year run at Coles Group in the same role.

“Amanda is an accomplished senior executive and leader with more than 23 years’ experience in large retail organisations in the United States across multiple categories where she has led ecommerce, loyalty, marketing, data analytics and commercial buying teams,” Wirth shared in the statement.

“Amanda spent over 10 years at Meijer Inc, a regional super-centre chain of ~260 stores in the US, and most recently held the roles of Group Vice-President Marketing & Digital and Group Vice President of Commercial, Grocery. Prior to Meijer Inc, Amanda spent nine years at Target in the United States.”

MvCay was also a board director at Flybuys, Coles’ loyalty program, up until her new appointment. Ikin will conduct a short handover period with McVay, with his last day being November 14.

“Please join me in warmly welcoming Amanda to our business and thanking Geoff for his many contributions to Myer over the last seven years and wish him all the very best for his next chapter,” Wirth said.

These changes follow a year of shake-up across Myer's c-suite. This included a major shake-up in March, involving the creation of new c-suite roles and the filling of them, alongside the replacement of its CFO.

In July, Myer also appointed Simon Schofield to lead Myer's Exclusive Brands portfolio.
