Target and UnitingCare Australia have launched their annual Christmas Appeal.
Now in its 27th year, the Appeal raised $700,000 last year from over 22,000 donations.
Customers can purchase an Appeal bauble for $2, a white Christmas gift box for $3 or give an unwrapped gift at their local Target store.
Volunteers from the UnitingCare Network will collect donations and distribute them to people and families in need.
Target Australia MD Marina Joanou said the Appeal is an important cornerstone for the company.
"The Target team are passionate about supporting their communities, and along with our generous customers we hope to relieve some of the pressure experienced by many at this time of year."
The Target UnitingCare Australia Christmas Appeal runs through to December 24.
