Target Australia has become the first Australian retailer to sell fashion products through the Uber Eats platform.
As part of the partnership, Target has pooled together a curated range of 25,000 products across fashion, beauty, homewares, toys and baby, which will be offered through the Uber Eats app. Delivery is expected within 60 minutes.
This adds to Target’s other sales channels, including its 120-store network across the country and its online website.
The partnership extends Target's online offer in time for the Christmas shopping period, with the first phase launching through selected stores in high-demand areas before expanding to additional participating stores in the new year.
Kmart and Target chief customer officer Bernard Wilson said the launch reflects Target's focus on making shopping easier for Australian families.
"Customers are looking for more ease and flexibility than ever before, and our focus is on building an online offer that works around them, whether they're planning ahead or need something quickly,” Wilson said.
"We've spent 100 years helping Australians access products they'll love at great value. This partnership is another way we're making it easier for customers to shop with Target, wherever and whenever it suits them.
“Whether it's a last-minute birthday present, something for the home or an everyday essential, this partnership gives customers another convenient way to access Target's great style, quality and value.”
The move comes as online sales at Kmart and Target combined continue to grow, with the pair’s online sales now contributing 10.5 per cent to total revenue – which was $11.7 billion in FY26
Uber Eats Australia and New Zealand managing director Lucas Groeneveld added that the partnership expands the platform’s offering into retail. Initially launched as a takeaway delivery app, the platform now offers groceries, convenience store items, alcohol, beauty and homeware products, and now fashion.
“We’re excited to welcome Target to Uber Eats, giving Australians access to more than 25,000 products, with delivery expected within 60 minutes,” Groeneveld said.
“Customers increasingly expect to be able to get what they need without planning days ahead. Bringing Target onto Uber Eats means more of those everyday needs can arrive at their door in under an hour, making on-demand delivery useful for even more moments in their day.”
