The North Face has appointed an 11-year-old ambassador.
Angie Scarth-Johnson has joined the brand's Australian and New Zealand athlete team.
Scarth-Johnson is the first female climber and the youngest in all disciplines.
North Face ANZ marketing manager Stephen Winnacott said she is a natural fit for the brand.
"Upon first meeting Angie at a climbing crag in the Blue Mountains it was immediately apparent that this talented young climber would one day be at the forefront of the sport’s progression.
"What stands out most about Angie, aside from her climbing, is her passion for the outdoors."
Originally from Canberra, the young climber currently resides in the Blue Mountains.
She has achieved multiple climbing accolades spanning Australia, USA and Spain.
"I am very excited to be part of representing The North Face brand.
"Their team has amazing climbing athletes that I really look up to in Australia and around the world.
"I feel very special to be included in such an awesome group and I hope that I can inspire young climbers to follow their dreams and enjoy the outdoors as much as I do."
