Australian womenswear label Viktoria + Woods is set to expand its retail footprint with the announcement of its first Sydney flagship boutique.
The store will open in Paddington's Glenmore Road in a bid to build upon its Melbourne standalone and David Jones wholesale business.
Viktoria + Woods designer Lisa Reynolds said that the opening will coincide with the brand's AW16 offering which draws on its origin with the use of merino wool.
“Our latest knitwear line was a chance for us to work differently and creatively with merino wool, which is at the heart of how the label began, and to work together to support a boutique local industry.”
Reynold's has pinpointed the expansion to Sydney as a natural progression for the label.
“The paredback, contemporary aesthetic of our label is a
perfect fit with the city’s style conscious women.
“Some of our long-standing customers are based in NSW and it’s been our goal for some time to have a presence there.
“Paddington was always our first choice thanks to its like-minded fashion neighbours and status as the city’s ‘designer row’.”
Viktoria + Woods was established in 2005 by Reynolds and co-designer Margie Woods.
