Australian fashion designer Marie Linker has made her international debut.
The designer showed her eveningwear label L’Elegante for the first time internationally during Paris Fashion Week.
The spring/summer collection, called Elegance, featured red silks and fairytale-esque pastel floral appliques.
The collection also included hand-designed, dyed, and embroidered fabrics with Swarovski crystal embellishments and French lace.
Thigh high slits, keyhole cutout necklines and draped chiffons also featured in the range; while slate greys, sky blue, and pastel pinks softened reds, whites, and full crystal looks.
Linker opened her first fashion boutique in Sydney at only 21.
She quickly expanded her venture establishing five more boutiques within Sydney.
At the same time, she helped distribute top fashion designers like Charlie Brown, Cover and Lisa Ho.
She then expanded into design and the manufacture of her very own fashion label “Marie Cie”.
Ten years ago, she began specialising in Mother of the Bride and Groom.
The head office is located in Sydney’s Double Bay area.
