Swiss-born outdoor brand Mammut has appointed This Way Out as a new exclusive distributor for its Australian and New Zealand markets.
This Way Out is a sister company to Helly Hansen Australia, founded in 2024. Luke Bennett is the general manager of Helly Hansen Australia and This Way Out, while Cam Mahoney is the chief sales officer for both.
Mammut’s local distribution was handled by Blacklight Distribution for the last six years. Mahoney said TWO’s plans for Mammut include flagship retail stores, a revised e-commerce platform and integrating the brand into TWO’s operational framework.
“Mammut is a brand that represents authenticity, craftsmanship and adventure, values that deeply resonate with our team and the markets we serve,” Mahoney said. “We’re thrilled to bring this iconic Swiss brand to Australia and New Zealand and to partner with retailers who share our passion for high-performance outdoor gear.”
As well as Mammut, TWO also manages Helly Hansen, Db Journey and Sweet Protection.
“This partnership marks an exciting step for This Way Out as we continue to expand our portfolio of premium brands,” Bennett added.
“Mammut’s deep legacy in alpine sports and innovation perfectly complements our growing stable of brands.”
Mammut was founded in 1862 in Switzerland, and currently manages over 80 stores globally according to its website. In Australia and New Zealand, Mammut has around 50 stockist locations, which includes the likes of Macpac among a raft of local retailers.
Its product pricing ranges can range from three figures to low four figures, full price.
