Australian etailer SurfStitch has launched an online gift initiative to reward its customers.

The Garage offers rewards to shoppers who spend over $150, $250 and $400 on new items, adding a bonus product on top of the purchase worth up to $150, $300 and $500 respectively.

The digital scheme follows the launch of the site's content hub The Lens last year, which aims to capture trends in youth media consumption.

SurfStitch global marketing director Martin Corr believes that launching initiatives like The Garage and The Lens help to stay ahead of the competitive online retail.

“We’re constantly looking at new ways to push the boundaries and create unique opportunities for online shoppers, whether that be through promotional rewards like The Garage or driving content initiatives to support the interests of our core consumer.

“Over the past 12 months we have expanded substantially with acquisitions including Surfdome, Swell.com, Stab and Magic Seaweed, and through this growth we focus on connecting and engaging on a deeper level with consumers where other companies may lose touch.

“We strive to create an experience for visitors to the SurfStitch website, not just a retail platform.”

SurfStitch came into the fold in 2008 and has built a portfolio of local and international brands including Nike, Tigerlily and Camilla & Marc.
