Superdry will expand its global reach by opening its first New Zealand store in Auckland next month.
Superdry Auckland will mark the 18th Superdry store opened under Brand Collective Pty Ltd, which first secured the international licence in 2007.
The announcement of Superdry Auckland coincides with the launch of www.superdry.co.nz, which will offer complimentary shipping to New Zealand customers.
Brand Collective CEO Martin Matthews said the expansion into new territory has been deemed the "the natural next step for the brand".
He said with a population of 4.7 million, New Zealand offers a significant opportunity for retail brands.
The climate is considered ideal for Superdry’s product offering, which centres around outerwear and expands over menswear, womenswear, accessory and snow gear categories.
The new two-storey flagship store will be set in Auckland's Queen Street shopping district.
The brand, starting in 2003 out of the boot of a car in central London, has seen exponential growth in recent years.
With over 500 stores worldwide, New Zealand marks the 47th country the retailer has entered.
