Stylerunner takes out global spot

Stylerunner.com founder Julie Stevanja has been recognised on the world stage.

The Sydney-based etailer was named Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year at the World Retail Awards.

The award recognises entrepreneurs who have challenged and disrupted the long-established retail industry.

Past winners of the category include founder and CEO of Missguided.com, Nitin Passi.

“Disruption is a driving force at Stylerunner - being recognised for this is a great honor,” Stevanja said.

“To be awarded Young Retail Entrepreneur of the Year and included in such a prestigious event as the World Retail Congress is an enormous compliment to our team.”

“We’ve created a retail experience which is fresh, innovative and constantly pushing boundaries. I’m incredibly proud of that."

 Stylerunner was recently listed on the Deloitte Tech Fast 50 Rising Star and BRW Fast Starters List.

Stevanja has also achieved a raft of personal successes, recently having been a finalist for the Veuve Clicquot New Generation Award 2016 and winning the B&T Women in Media Technology Award 2015.

The World Retail Awards was held last night in Dubai.
