Stylerunner will accelerate the development of vertical product, as it looks to gross margin growth.

The multi-brand eCommerce site was acquired by footwear giant Accent Group, after entering into voluntary administration in October 2019.

It has since launched a new website, flagship store and will focus on the launch of a brand new vertical brand in 2021.

Accent Group CEO Daniel Agostinelli said with a further three store leases signed, Stylerunner has the ability to be a stand-alone vertical concept over time.

“In our view, Stylerunner has a very significant runway in both digital and store sales,” he said.
Accent Group’s vertical program generated $13.5 million of sales in FY20, more than double the $4.5 million the prior year.

The Group is targeting sales of vertical products and brands to be at least 10% of its sales mix.

“This program delivers strong gross profit margin and will continue to be expanded into all banners in FY21, including the launch of a brand new vertical brand called ITNO in Platypus and Stylerunner.

“Stylerunner in particular provides us with an amazing platform to drive a high level of vertical sales across a number of categories.”
