UK-based luggage brand Antler and its associated Australian business Strand have added the US-based fashion and luggage business Paravel to their brand portfolio. 

The assets of Paravel were acquired by Antler after the American premium brand filed for bankruptcy. 

With this acquisition, Antler and holding group Strand now own and operate three brands globally under the ATR Group. This includes Antler in the United Kingdom, Nere in Australia and now Paravel in the United States. 

Nere was launched by Strand in Australia in 2022, targeting younger demographics. The brand has since scaled with a store in Melbourne Central and an e-commerce website in the United Kingdom.

“This acquisition reinforces our ambition to become a leading global house of travel brands,” Antler MD Kirsty Glenne said. “With Antler, Nere, and Paravel under one roof, we now serve a diverse range of travel lifestyles and consumers internationally. Each brand offers its own unique voice, product range, and market appeal.” 

According to Antler, Paravel’s brand identity will be preserved and revitalised, with a relaunch for the brand expected in 2026. Specific timings and details of the relaunch of Paravel will be announced in due course.
